Application Instructions
Phoenix Rising is looking for experienced members to join us in our quest to conquer the end-game content. You MUST be level 70 and Kara attuned. Phoenix Rising does not enforce certain specs; instead we focus on the traditional roles of tank, healer, dps, and support during raids. We believe that the human player behind the computer is more important than having any 'perfect' spec. Most of all, Phoenix Rising provides players an opportunity to enjoy end-game content in a friendly and casual environment that balances real life with game play. Please follow the steps below when applying. Failure to do so will delay the application process and hurt your chances of becoming a member. We look forward to you joining us in becoming a premier guild. Thanks for checking us out. Step 1: Please review raiding times to ensure that you can meet them. Attendance for raids is extremely important for progression. Raid Dates: Sunday and Monday: Progression Nights / Cleanup Tues - Wed: BT/MH Thurs - Saturday: OFF, PVP, Heroics, Kara, Gruuls, ZA Times* (all server times): Sun: 4:30 prep, 4:45 invites/summoning, 5pm Mobs go down Mon - Wed: 5:30pm prep, 5:45pm invites/summoning, 6pm Mobs go down All raids conclude at 9pm server. Step 2: Please fill out the application posted. Make sure to start a new topic with your name and class in the subject. Please note that your application will eventually be moved to a seperate members only thread for the officers and guild members to review. Your application was not deleted. Step 3: Whisper any guild veterans in-game to inform us that you are applying. We will redirect you to an app channel and have PR members group with you in a heroic or Kara to try you out. The officers you can contact are Deestroyr, Caedorn, Midknite, Omonera and Kajall. Step 4: After we have reviewed your application and temporarily accepted you, you will be tagged as a RECRUIT. A recruit is not eligible for loot over members. A recruit can recieve loot from Kara if no other members need that piece. When we are running 25-mans, initiates and members have priority for raid spots over recruits. If the officers and members believe that you are easy to get along with and that you would be a positive aspect in our progression, you will be tagged as an INITIATE. Initiates are eligible for loot, but please keep in mind, officers will NOT look highly upon those that are "loot hungry." When running 25-mans, members have priority for raid spots over initiates. The initiate period varies and can range from 1-3 weeks depending on the applicant. During this period, officers and members will continue to monitor interaction with the guild. If during this period the officers believe you are not of the Phoenix Rising standards, you will be asked to leave. If the officers however, believe you to be a valuable member, you will be invited to join as a full MEMBER.

Shortly after we see your application, it will be moved from this area of the forum; this does not mean your application has been rejected or that it needs to be reposted. All is well; this keeps the application forum from becoming overly full of posts.

Your ability to fill out a simple application reflects on your ability to follow instructions. If you cannot even fill out an application correctly, I don't expect you to be able to follow directions in the raid as I yell at you to do something on vent. As with any app, I assume, and other officers assume, you suck until you prove otherwise. That or you get some good reviews on your app in the app discussion section. Ask questions, know the bosses we are working on if you have not done them. Good luck.
