Help Soooooo
i downloaded the patch but when i run the updater it says it can't locate World of Warcraft....its in the usual area of Program files / World of Warcraft..... not sure
it wont run background downloader cuz it says invalid torren file.
anyone know how i can install this patch?

Did you DL from Bliz site or some other site?
Try copying the file you DLed into \program files\warcraft where the rest are and run it from there.

Did you copy it to the WoW directory and try running it from there?
It may need to be in the same directory as wow.exe

Dee the background downloader is like 2 meg. Maybe have someone email it to you. Possibly yours is corrupt? I am on my mac right now or I would.

Invalid Torrent File Dee try this.
1. double clicked the World of Warcraft shortcut on my desktop which launches the WoW launcher
2. at the bottom left the launcher said "Downloading New Patch"
3. my Vista UAC thing popped up and said "WoW was trying to access...." I clicked continue
4. Error box popped up saying "Invalid Torrent File"
5. said "that isn't good"
6. Right clicked World of Warcraft shortcut on my desktop, selected "Run as Administrator"
7. WoW Launcher came up and instantly went into the Blizzard updater, downloading the final 20mb or so of the 1.2gb patch.
8. Blizzard Updater starting installing intro movies and other .mpq things.
9. Updater asked if it would like to move the WoW files to a public users directory. I said Yes
10. waited for that to finish, I then deleted a missing shortcut from my desktop that i had right clicked before. There was a new icon on my desktop that was a shortcut to the new directory and the new WoW launcher.
