NEW 10 man strats NAXX
We are goign to be starting it soon.. So i figured i would post the initial stratsi have found.. I am sure we will come up with changes but here we go. NAXXRAMAS 10-Man -SETUP- ----------------------------------------------------- The Ideal makeup for this instance at least for the bosses that I've done have been:\ 2 Tanks- Any work actually although a pally actually works really well on some encounters 3 Healers- Aoe and Direct heals. A mix is really important and A druid for Hots its extremely important for some fights that cause Stuns or Silences (Or a lot of movement) 5 Dps- With the recent changes a variety of dps works great but make sure theres at least a Make or Lock for Aoe (you can also have a spriest for aoe as well and any other class if its sustained) SPIDER WINGZORZ! ---------------------------------------------------- Anub'Rekhan ---------------------- 10-man Abilities * Anub'Rekhan has approximately 2,230,000 hit points. Anub'Rekhan * Impale. This is an area of effect ability that targets a random player and hits everyone in a straight line between Anub'Rekhan and the player. It will do 4813 to 6187 Physical damage and launch the affected players high in the air, causing 50% fall damage when they hit the ground. * Locust Swarm. Every 70-120 seconds, Anub'rekhan casts a spell that causes AoE damage in a wide radius (30 yards) around him (the AoE remains centered on Anub'Rekhan as he moves), he will also slow to 75% of normal run speed. Remaining in the radius of effect will cause a DoT debuff to stack repeatedly dealing 875 to 1125 Nature damage every 2 seconds per stack as well as silencing those afflicted. When he casts this spell, a Crypt Guard will also spawn at his initial engage point. Lasts 16 seconds. NOTE: The Locust Swarm attack has an approximately 90 second cooldown, however the first cast is not at a set time, between 80 seconds and 2 minutes. As well, the Locust Swarm is not a normal silence. Unlike a normal silence, it prevents the use of all abilities (even auto-attack). This means that the MT cannot use Shield Wall or Last Stand to save himself if he gets stacked too high. Items, however, are still able to be used. * Summon Corpse Scarabs. Whenever there is a corpse, player or Crypt Guard in the room Anub'Rekhan may decide to spawn corpse scarabs from it. This is not on a set timer. Ten will be spawned from a Crypt Guard and Five from a player. They spawn with threat on random players and will spread out and attack random targets. Crypt Guards These adds will spawn after every Locust Swarm, they have around 300,000 health. They have a cleave, a stacking acid spit dot that ticks for 500 a stack, an area of effect immobilizing web and a low HP frenzy. This fight is fairly simple and if you want to cut corners its only really 3 pulls into the instance ( Although you have to clear the fourth pack in order to get to Faerlina. Makeup- this can easily be done with the 2-3-5 makeup that I posted a little earlier however a hunter to assist in the kiting will make this fight 10x easier. Note that the tank has to be on his/her toes because if they don't move fast enough the daze effect will most likely cause a wipe. Its possible to do it without cheetah but helps if everyone is on the ball. Fight Strategy: Its a fairly simple fight and feels very similar to the old Pre-BC fight in that all his abilities are similar except the damage is scaled appropriately. Its all the same phase so i'll just go through 1 normal rotation off the boss and the rest is exactly the same (you'll see what i mean in a second) The tank starts out by running in and aggroing the boss with the melee close behind being sure not to parry the boss as he does hit fairly hard. The dps, as long as the tank has steady aggro, can go all out immediately as their threat will be mitigated when the next ability occurs. An Ability that Anub does quite frequently in the fight is spawn spikes over a portion of the circle in the middle of the room. There's no real way to detect them (as far as i've seen from beta) so anyone in it will be taking about 2000 damage and then another 2000 from fall damage that's in the aoe. Everyone MUST be topped off after that. 1-2 druid hots per person should take care of it easily. About 20 seconds or so into the fight Anub will spawn a Spider/Undead add Mob that needs to be tanked in the middle of the room by the offtank. All the dps should immediately switch to the add and kill it as fast as possible because it really puts a damper on the dps that could be going on the boss. In addition this add needs to be perma-stunned at around 25-30% till its dead because the enrage+aoe spikes+tank damage may kill the raid. All Stun abilities work on this add so it shouldn't be a problem especially if there's a rogue in the group. Soon after the add is killed about 6-7 adds will spawn from the spider. A mage, or whoever is doing the aoe (Or perhaps even the pally tank if he/she isnt MT'ing), can stand right in front of the mob between its corpse and Anub and aoe them down quickly because the last part of the fight rotation will start soon after. Shortly after the smaller adds are dead, Anub will begin his final move called Insect Swarm (I'm pretty sure lol). this is the part where the tank moves across the Outermost circle and kites Anub in order to reduce the damage done to not only himself but the raid. This Swarm will tick for 2000-3000 and Stacks indefinitely (I've seen 8 on the tank. Was a wipe) This is where all of the dps Moves to the opposite side the circle that anub is being kited on. Another undead spider add will spawn just behind Anub before he leaves to follow the tank. the OT should pick it up and pull it to the opposite side of the circle near the dps and should be brought down asap. After this add is killed is where the majority of the dps will be burning down Anub and hopefully killing him after the 5-8 kite around the outer circle. The smaller adds will spawn and shortly after the kiting will begin again. Rinse and Repeat. NOTE: It's very helpful for the tank to only kite Anub on one side that way there's no confusion between where the dps needs to be relative to the tank and will make for a much smoother fight. Grand Widow Faerlina ----------------------------- Has approximately 2,230,000 hit points. * Poison Bolt Volley - This will hit the five closest players to Grand Widow Faerlina, used every 15 seconds. Deals 2625 to 3375 Nature damage and applies a dot that does 1480 to 1720 Nature damage every 2 seconds for eight seconds. Dispellable. Widow's Embrace prevents the use of this ability for 30 seconds. * Rain of Fire - Random Rain of fires will be cast on players throughout the fight very often. 2775 to 3225 Fire damage every two seconds. Rain of fire lasts six seconds. 8 yard radius. * Frenzy - This will be used approximately every 60-80 seconds. It will increase Grand Widow Faerlina's physical damage by 150%, her melee haste by 50% and her size by 50%. During it she will hit the tank for upwards of 15,000 damage. Widow's Embrace dispels and prevents the use of this ability for 60 seconds. NOTE: You must kill the worshipper AFTER she enrages if you want to stop her for the full 60 seconds. If you sacrifice the Worshipper before the enrage, it will merely delay the enrage for 30 seconds. Worshipers There are 4 NPCs at the start of the fight, 4 Worshippers. Worshippers They will be off-tanked for most of the fight, and eventually sacrificed to Faerlina. When killed near Faerlina, they will remove and prevent Frenzy as well as silence Fearlina's nature school for 30 seconds. This fight cannot last more than 4:45 or so because there will be no way to prevent the Frenzy if all the adds are dead. Make-up: Again same as the last 2-3-5 setup should be fine for this boss as shes fairly easy as well. Strategy- The tank Starts by picking up Grand widow and pulling her to the side of the top platform and she doesn't really need to be moved at all during the rest of the fight. The OT should pick up the 4 adds that are around her I haven't tried to CC the adds that's that she has around her but they don't hit terribly hard so the OT should have no problem taking them. After they are picked up and the tank has aggro the dps should begin to get 1 (ONE) of them down to around 8-10%. After the add is down to around there you can begin dps on the boss which the tank should have plenty of aggro on so go all out. She only really does 3 things 1- A Rain of fire that doesn't hit really hard and is stupid easy to get out of like the rest of them 2- A curse. I cant remember what it does but i do remember having to decurse on my mage while in there. I'm assuming it reduces healing done to the target. but will verify 3- Enrage. She will enrage ever so often and start attacking faster and harder, The only way to mitigate this damage and stop her enrage is to kill one of the adds, that's why we have 1 to 8-10% before she enrages so she isn't for very long. So the fight should go in this order 1->Kill and add to 8-10% 2->move out of fire and decurse 3->DPS Faerlina 4->Kill the add 5->Rinse Repeat Maexenna! ---------------------------------- Makeup- Once again the 2-3-5 makeup is absolutely fine here. The only thing i would say though is its very important to have a druids and possibly even a priest as well for this fight because at the enrage hots are extremely important in keeping the tank up Strategy: this fights pretty much a tank and spank with a few other things along the way the fight starts pretty normally with the tank running in a picking up maex pretty much where she stands but it may be better to position her closer to the back wall that way the dps doesn't have to move in order to kill the webs. She does a total of five things as far as I know and there's only 1 phase of the fight. 1- The first thing she'll do is target a random member of the raid, never the MT and throw them onto the back wall. the dps then have to turn and kill the web before the person inside does. the webs have extremely low health so having only 1 dps like a hunter or mage take them out works best but anything will do 2-Poison Spit- I believe she does a poison spit and its either to everyone or just the tank (only attempted her 1 night) But it can be cleansed or abolished by any healer so only becomes a problem at enrage 3- Spider Spawn- She'll spawn i believe 10 spiders that will run to each person in the raid and will spawn from herself. These can simply be aoe'd down but they must be killed quickly so they aren't up during the stun 4-Stun- Don't remember the name of it but I do know that it stuns for about 3-4 seconds and can be a pain in the ass as soon as Maex hits her enrage because no heals can be cast during that time and you cant bubble out of it (haven't tried a pvp trinket but I assume it wont work either 5-Enrage- At around 30% she'll enrage and go berserk. the dps needs to burn her down fast because the healers mana is gonna go through the floor with the amount of heals they need. Especially do to the fact that the fight doesn't change when she enrages so there's still spider weds, spider adds, the poison, AND the stun which can be an extreme pain when they're all together in a row. Heroism's should be burned at the end of the fight at 30% or right at the beginning if you have 2 shamans then the latter shaman can cast one at the end when the timer runs out on the debuff. DEATHKNIGHT WING ----------------------------------------------------------------- Instructor Razuvious -------------------------- Make-up- This could essentially be done with 3 healers 5 dps and 2 idiots because its so simple but in general the 2-3-5 works here as well which is a good thing lol Strategy- I really am not going to go into much detail because without the mind control requiring a priest and the aoe mana burn this fight really became the easiest in the instance so hopefully I can explain this as simple as possible The fight starts with the tank running in and aggroing the boss to start the event. Then both tanks will use the mind control devices to MC the 2 understudies that will be tanking razuv. these instructors have 2 abilities. A taunt and a shield wall. All you need to do is have one of the tanks taunt razuv and burn shield wall. After that MC's shield wall is out the other tank will taunt and burn his and so on and so on. The MC only lasts one minute but the debuff where you cant MC again only last 30 seconds so the same people that took the mind-control (the 2 tanks) can take them again after it wears off. So Mind control and do the taunt shield wall rotation, heal the raid from the aoe and heal the understudies and it's win Gothik the Soul Harvester -------------------------------- Makeup- This fight pretty much requires some aoe and at two tanks perferable one being a pally but any tank now can do some decent aoe thread aside from druids. so the standard 2-3-5 works here Strategy- This fight is fairly straight-forward in text but can be extremely tricky in practice. hat happens is after aggroing Gothik, adds will start spawning on the live side which need to be dps'd down. When the adds die their spirit flies over to the undead side and are constructed into undead which that side then must dps down. The trick to this fight is for the first group to control what goes over to the second group without getting themselves overrun with adds trying to save the second group. Usually there are 2 healers on the live side and 1 healer on the undead side and this is mainly because if adds do need to be held on the live side you have the healers to support the extra mobs. We also make the healer on the undead side a shaman since there's only 1 person taking some significant damage while the raid only gets hit wit a small aoe. After about 4 minutes of near continuously spawning adds Gothik himself will teleport down and the adds will stop spawning and you can nuke the boss down as he teleports from live side to undead side. He only really has 2 abilities that he does which only effects 1 side at a time. 1-A debuff- This debuff will happen every time he switches between sides that decreases your stat by 10% stacking to 90% 2-Shadow Bolt Volley- What is says lol So the fight is like this. Kill the adds on the live side and undead side for 4 minutes and they get harder and harder each time they spawn. After 4 minutes nuke down gothik as he switches from side to side till hes dead and then collect your loot! PLAGUE WING! -------------------------------------------------------- Noth ------------------- Makeup-2-3-5 or even 1-2-7 if you're group has the gear for it as this fight's extremely easy Strategy: For this fight there's only a few things that anybody really has to worry about. One of those things is a curse that goes on three people at a time that need to be decursed because is causes unnecessary heals for the healers. The other thing he does is spawn adds 2 at a time which the tank or the offtank can pick up in dps or tank gear. I dont know the exact percentages but he did it twice on our run- Noth will teleport to his balcony and spawn more adds which need to be dps'd down as well but they're not hard really. Honestly the only hard part of this fight is that its stupid long because of his large health and also because of his middle phases where you cant dps him. Just a starter.. will post more later..

even tho it has been many years for me on these.. they sound basically the same.. should be easy enough for us guys. i have faith in us :D i expect at LEAST 3 bosses dead first night :D these fights are really not that difficult.. even when they were 40 mans .. some more then others.

Kajall- 11-17-2008

I'm excited to get this started. Get to lvl 80 people and we can get in there very quickly. We need 2 tanks, 3 heals and 5 dps to be at lvl 80. If you can get upgrades, great. But frankly, we're sufficiently geared for this content already, just get on that leveling (I know, I know, I'm like the slowest atm)

Adrasteia- 11-17-2008

Easysauce. Assuming I've leveled my ass by the time we're ready, I'm in.

araidicus- 11-17-2008

I'll be levelin crazy this week :) 72.33 at the moment!

Adrasteia- 11-17-2008

73.5, hoping to get 74 tonight.

midknite- 11-17-2008

araidicus- 11-17-2008

Lol that exact huh

Caedorn- 11-18-2008

77 and a bit; levelling tradeskills and faction is taking more time than I'd hoped.

FUCK YOU BLIZZARD. any one of you tanks takes my MC from this fight and you better pray you have +healing gear for your bandages.... god damn you blizzard....damn you to hell.

tankshock- 11-18-2008

sorry mikkie :/ they kinda had to do it for a 10 man format :/ otherwise you have to bring too many holy priests or shadow priest.. which gets away from them wanting to not force a class

Mikkie- 11-18-2008

Sorry, my "Give a damn" button is broken, please request again later. :P

Sysop- 11-18-2008

Apparently you only have to be 76ish to clear this...if you get paid to do it and have socks to poop in.
