Yes, becuase with the Dawnforged, he would have obtained more total avoidence than the little bit added to dodge/block/parry/miss from the defense on the shield.
Overall avoidance from 22 defense is 0.36% dodge/parry/block. a total of 1.08%.
I know what I'm talking about here.
its 0.95% from the Dawnforged or 1.08% from the Impenetrable Darkness. However, Dawnforged has 13 hit rating, 0.82%, which is quite nice for increasing ones TPS
Good thing these are forums and everything you say is recorded. Otherwise we might've missed the fact that you've contradicted yourself and are trying to stealth change your argument for the Dawnforged Defender from "it's more avoidance AND more threat" to "it's less avoidance, but the threat makes up for it."

And you keep avoiding your miss calculations. I'll admit, the 22 defense is a tad more avoidence, but its still not a better shield.

I'm avoiding my miscalculations? Are you still trying to tell me that 21.15 dodge rating is not the same amount of avoidance as 22 defense rating?
You can say it's a "tad" if you want, but that "tad" is over 13% improvement even rounding down.
Whether or not it's a better shield depends on whether he wants the avoidance or threat. That's why it's a sidegrade. If you notice, I said that in my first post.
